Abiding Darkness by John Aubrey Anderson |

This is one of the best fiction stories I have ever read. The characters were so deep you can't help but love them. Also, the angels and the demons were fascinating.

I really enjoyed this book! The author really speaks to me and made me think long and hard about my own spending habits and desires to serve God. The main character was honest and well developed. Her experiences were both funny and real.

The Candidate by Susan Wales & Robin Shope |
|
Rating: 5 Stars |
I have read all three of these authors' books and have loved each one. THE CANDIDATE takes us to Delavan, Wisconsin where the mystery is "rolling around" beneath the lake. It's a well-written story that I couldn't put down until the last page. If you love romance and a great mystery, then I suggest THE CANDIDATE.

I have loved all of the books in the Tales from Grace Chapel Inn series, but this one has been the best. I loved the intrigue, the fellowship, and recipes. I cried at the end, but I cry at the end of all of them. This book made my heart soar.

Half Way to Forever by Karen Kingsbury |
|
Rating: 5 Stars |
This is book three in the Forever Faithful series. All three were awesome. Book one, WHEN MORNING COMES, deals with forgiveness after a drunk driver kills a husband and child. Book two, A MOMENT OF WEAKNESS, deals with not waiting for God's best in our life. The final book ties both families together with more trials and seeing that God's hand is in our lives, even when we cannot see it. A great faith-builder series.

If you want to curl up and read a good book about simple life in small-town America, then this is the author. I pick up anything she has written, and with this being her newest, I couldn't put it down until my eyes wouldn't stay open. Then, I got up and finished it with my coffee.

Israel, My Beloved by Kay Arthur |
|
Rating: 5 Stars |
Sarah is determined to live freely, without the protection and never-dying love of her husband. This is the story of Israel, but mostly is the story of G-d's love toward Israel (Sarah).
The consequences of Sarah's free choice, apart from her loving husband is heart wrenching; it bought tears into my eyes, as I understood the great love that G-d has for Israel and that He is waiting for His beloved Sarah (Israel) to return to Him freely! I recommend this book to everyone! it is an easy read, very emotional at times, but it will make the reader understand the patience and the loving Kindness of a faithful G-d, Our G-d! Truly a great book!

This book was a great read. It was time well spent. Francine Rivers is an artist with her words as she interweaves scripture and a captivating storyline.
I would recommend this one! I didn't want the book to end.

Family Tree by Barbara Delinsky |
|
Rating: 5 Stars |
This book was so hard to put down. It starts with a couple having a new baby; they are both thrilled, until the father notices the color of the baby's skin. He then accuses his wife of being unfaithful and she says, in all honesty, that she has not. He feels the family will be besmirched now, and he won't have it. You will have to read the rest because If I do, I will give it away. I would recommend it highly.

In Search of Eden by Linda Nichols |

This is a great summer read, and one of Linda's best. She always does a great job with character development, and these characters will stay in your heart and mind long after you finish the last page.

Divine by Karen Kingsbury |
|
Rating: 4 Stars |
I really like this book. It opens your eyes to what living on the streets is like. But, Jesus loves and redeems them, just like anyone else. They are no less deserving. It really is a great reminder that things could be worse and that there is hope. You grow really close to the main character and can see her transformation from sinner to Christian. Karen Kingsbury is always good!!
