Over the Waters by Deborah Raney. 4+ stars.
This is a touching story with a powerful message set in Haiti.
The Debt by Angela Hunt. 5+ stars!
This is an amazing allegorical story that makes you think deeply about faith and life. I loved it!
Under Cover of Darkness by Elizabeth White. 5 stars.
A very well-written romantic suspense from the new Love Inspired Romantic Suspense Line. The story is fast-paced and full of great characters.
Kissing Adrien by Siri L. Mitchell. 5 stars.
Wow! Chick Lit with deep characters and issues that make you think, all wrapped up in a delightful romance set in Paris.
Chateau of Echoes by Siri L. Mitchell
An old diary found in France adds mystery to this romance/women's fiction story. Lots of details slowed the story at points, but I'd still give it 4 stars for all the great French culture and the poignant romance.
Unforgotten by Kristen Heitzmann. 5 stars.
Be sure to read Secrets first, since this is a continuation of that book. This is an interesting romance with mystery from the past woven in.

I just finished reading Five-Star Families by Carol Kuykendall and loved it. She offers encouragement and inspiration for parents in the midst of raising their families. I highly recommend it!
I've also read a review copy of The World According to Narnia by Jonathan Rogers, and it's also an amazing book. The depth of Rogers's knowledge of The Chronicles of Narnia offers parents an intimate look into C.S. Lewis's faith. His passion for Christian fantasy comes through his insider perspective as a fellow fantasy writer. (Our kids loved Rogers's Wilderking trilogy.)

Girl Meets God by Lauren F. Winner. 4 stars.
While I was reading this book, I was disappointed and unaffected. However, it has staying power and I keep thinking about it and having "mini-conversations" with Lauren in my mind.
Redemption by Karen Kingsbury and Gary Smalley. 4 stars.
Good and entertaining.
A Chance to Die by Elisabeth Elliot. 4 stars.
Amy Carmichael is an interesting person. But she's more interesting to read when she's the author!

Our book club just got our feet wet with The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom. The discussion only ended because a toddler attending with mommy was getting over-tired and had to leave. We all enjoyed Mitch Albom's easy writing/reading style.
