Dinner with a Perfect Stranger by David Gregory. 5 stars.
You have just got to read this --- it is very AWESOME, and it's a make-you-think kind of book!

ShepRiley@aol.com
Marker by Robin Cook. 5 stars.

jobyana@juno.com
I'm currently reading Flee the Darkness by Grant Jeffrey and Angela Hunt. It's interesting, mostly because it was written about Y2K, and Y2K is over and done with...but an interesting book nonetheless. So far, 3 1/2 stars.

I'm two chapters into Obsessed by Ted Dekker, and I know that if I get any farther I will have absolutely no self-control, and I'll stay up till who-knows-when in the morning. So far, 0 stars. An expected 5-star rating when I'm done.

I just finished At the Scent of Water by Linda Nichols. Wow, powerful. I read the whole book feeling like I was reading the news from this summer. Linda really did a good job at being dramatic, yet not fake beyond measure. 5 stars.

The Salt Garden by Cindy McCormick Martinusen
. 4 stars.
Shipwreck, reclusive author, single woman who didn't really like her town. The whole deal. Amazingly enough, it was really good and I am totally planning on reading her other books.

Shivering World by Kathy Tyers
. 4 stars.
Wow, very good! I haven't read the Firebird Trilogy yet, but after reading this book I plan to! I only hope she does a sequel, because the ending basically made me want to throw the book across the room and then pick it up and search for something I may have missed. Kathy, if you're reading this, write me a sequel! I promise to give your next book a 5-star rating! *begs on hands and knees*

Oxygen
and The Fifth Man by Randall Ingermanson and John Olson. 4 1/2 stars.
Very interesting, and basically as realistic as any Mars book I've ever read. A lot of crazy plot twists and at times you really wish that it didn't have to be that way, but wow, so worth the read.

A Place Called Wiregrass by Michael Morris
. 3 stars.
Good, but I found it slightly odd that it was written from the perspective of a woman, yet written by a man. Other that that slight fact and the fact that I really couldn't relate to the book in any way, shape or form, it was good.

Wrapped in Rain by Charles Martin
. 4 stars.
Woah, good book. Again, I couldn't relate to it, but it was so well-written! Charles has a way of saying something and making you go, woah, that is so true!!

Eli by Bill Myers. 5 stars.
This is an excellent book taking us into the what if.... What if Jesus had never been born until today? I found myself reading a different type of book here. It recounts everything the Bible says about Jesus and his coming, although Eli (Jesus) is born in a laundry room of a hotel in 1972, wrapped in swaddling TOWELS. As Bill Myers takes us through the story Eli is baptizing in the river, healing the blind and the amputees, raising from the dead a brother of one of his followers. It goes on just like the Old Testament but in today's world. A great page-turner, awesome.

Currently, I'm reading The Answer by Adlin Sinclair. Any book that makes me think like this gets 5 stars.

The best, most moving book that I have read in a very long time has to be Place of Sage by Lyn D. Nielsen. This is a story for everyone; it is about life, love, faith, hopes and dreams. It will change you and have you asking for more! I highly recommend this book and give it the highest rating of 5 stars.

I have read:

Abduction by Wanda L. Dyson
. 4 stars. Great book.

Storm Gathering
and The Splitting Storm by Rene Gutteridge. 5 stars. Excellent.

Levi's Will by W. Dale Cramer
. 3 stars. Good.

I have also read all of Beverly Lewis's books that I can get my hands on. They are excellent, 5 stars. The Amish series is so wonderful.

The Immortal by Angela Hunt
. 4 stars, Great.

Antonia's Choice by Nancy Rue
. 3 stars. Good.

The Storekeeper's Daughter by Wanda E. Brunstetter
. 5 stars and more.
More than excellent. Waiting for her new one to be released in October.

I'm in the middle of more at this point. I read all of the time. Can't get enough books.

Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy
The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman

I just finished reading the Beverly Lewis series, Abram's Daughters. It was excellent and I highly recommend it. 5 stars.

I also just finished reading Land of My Heart by Tracie Peterson. I look forward to reading more of her work! 5 stars.

Realms of Glory: Encountering God in the Last Days, by Kevin Paul Stephen
I have recently read this book by Kevin and was encouraged in my walk with God. I have been in the walk since 1971 and have seen alot of church stuff. Reading this will encourage you with a deeper look at intimacy and a greater grace walk for the days ahead.

I just finished reading The Veritas Conflict by Shaunti Feldhahn and I give it 5 stars!

This book is woven so intricately with real and spiritual beings! It's like watching a good movie where the story line goes from character to character and coming back to the first character without missing a beat! Feldhahn gives you such interesting factual details along with fictional details that you would have a hard time not believing the entire story line isn't real.

The book is about the battles that we fight physically as well as the spiritual warfare that goes on in the background. Each page leaves you rushing to the next to find out the outcome. I absolutely loved this book! I even slowed down near the end of the book because I didn't want it to end!
