June/July 2005

What book are you most looking forward to reading this summer?

jannstan@positech.net
I have already read the two books I was looking forward to! They were Last Resort and Note of Peril, both by Hannah Alexander. Very good books.

Joyce Meyers is my favorite Christian author so far. She writes with easy understanding for reading; she's the one who's most seen and heard (for me anyway); and I can relate to her growing in Christianity.

The Sisterchicks series! Just finished number one and heading out for the others this afternoon!

I love the Laura Childs Tea Shop mystery series. Although not specifically "Christian," they do not contain anything offensive and they are wonderful for those of us who love anything that has to do with teatime.

I just bought the latest, Chamomile Mourning, and I can't wait to get time to read it.

The Dead Don't Dance by Charles Martin

I am most looking forward to reading Wings of Refuge by Lynn Austin. She is a wonderful Christian author!!

Obsessed by Ted Dekker

The trilogy (Red, White and Black) by Ted Dekker

Anything written by Karen Kingsbury. I just finished the Redemption series and I could not put the books down and couldn't wait to read the next one. I now am looking forward to the Firstborn series. I have never read a series that was so true to life as these books --- they don't sugarcoat life, everything doesn't turn out the way you want it to, and she reminds you that things turn out the way God has willed them to. I truly love her books and pray that the Lord will bless her so she keeps writing these great books.

The books I had been looking forward to the most I have already read --- Expiration Date by Eric Wilson, Dead of Night by Brandilyn Collins, Sins of the Fathers by James Scott Bell, The Deuce by F.P. Lione, and Self Incrimination by Randy Singer.

Great stuff!
