Who are the Christian authors that you discovered in the past year?
|
mlapp@aracnet.com
Bette Nordberg: I have enjoyed her two novels.
Lisa Samson: Her book Songbird was a waste of my time, in my opinion.
books@ptd.net
Eric Wilson. His thriller Dark to Mortal Eyes caught my eye, no pun intended. Amazing cover. Then when I read it I was even more impressed. His second novel, Expiration Date, doesn't disappoint either.

Brandilyn Collins
Alton Gansky

Robert Whitlow
violet.kroll@att.net

I just discovered Charles Martin and his two latest books, Wrapped in Rain and The Dead Don't Dance. He is going to go far...such a lot of talent. Another one of the southern writers!
lorikasbeer520@gmail.com
Traci DePree, Neta Jackson, Vonette Bright, Mary Pierce, Robert Briner
The Lord has really opened me up to some good, insightful, and convicting books this year.
dwhitford@fbclr.org
Erwin McManus. Takes you to the edge, but does not dangle you or let you slip over...
jannstan@positech.net
The Christian author that I discovered this past year is Terri Reed. She writes Love Inspired books. She has written two books so far (Love Comes Home and A Sheltering Love) and they are very good, and I hope she has more to come!
Burkecj@iwon.com
Two new authors who I've recently discovered are Andrea Boeshaar and Yvonne Lehman.

This past year I was delighted to have discovered (a bit late, I see) the fabulous Neta Jackson, author of The Yada Yada Prayer Group series.
jobyana@juno.com
Wow...I'll just name the ones on the top of my head. Most of these aren't new authors, but I tend to get books mostly from my library, which isn't the fastest at getting new books:
Lauraine Snelling
The Healing Quilt. Good!
Marlo Schalesky
Only the Wind Remembers. Powerfully written!!
Sharon Ewell Foster
I think I read Ain't No Mountain first...now I've read all of her books!
Kathleen Morgan
She wrote Embrace the Dawn and that whole series. I love Scottish stories.
Jane Orcutt
I would highly recommend reading Lullaby, but only after grabbing a box of tissues!
Tracy Groot
Sign up for her newsletters. They are SOOO incredibly funny!!
Brad Whittington
Welcome to Fred. He won the Christy Award for first-time author.
Linda Dorrell
The Trees of Eden
Judy Baer
The Whitney Chronicles was like the best book ever written!! Prepare for lots of laughter and little sleep while working through Whitney's life.
Denise Hildreth
Savannah From Savannah. You might want to grab a lot of Coke before you read this, you'll be thirsty for it by the time you're done!
Sarah Anne Sumpolec
Teen fiction, the Becoming Becca series. Awesome!
Travis Thrasher
I started with The Watermark and have been reading all his books. It's always interesting to read a book written by a guy.
L. A. Kelly
Tahn. Awesome story. Medevilish setting.
Chase Dalton
Atlantyx. Wow, talk about gripping suspense!!
Laura Jensen Walker
Christian Chick Lit in its finest form. I can't wait till Dreaming in Technicolor comes out!
sweet_agape@hotmail.com
Cindi McMenamin
krstsmpsn@yahoo.com
Francine Rivers (Mark of the Lion series -- my favorite!), Bodie & Brock Thoene, Lynn Austin, Tracie Peterson, Paul L. Maier, Lori Wick, Lauraine Snelling
ljolly@sympatico.ca
I discovered Lynn Austin, Karen Kingsbury and Penelope J. Stokes!! My two favourite are Lynn Austin and Penelope J. Stokes. I find Karen Kingsbury to be too forceful and phony in her Christian writing.
