I think that some of the authors who have made the biggest impact on me would be Karen Kingsbury, Francine Rivers, Lynn Austin, and Melody Carlson. I read so many books that I'm sure that if you asked this question tomorrow I would answer differently. =)

Arthur Randall -- his novels give a clear vision of what the church should be.
Francine Rivers -- lovingly written testaments to God's grace.

Hugh Prather, author of Notes to Myself, Spiritual Notes to Myself, and The Little Book of Letting Go.

Ravi Zacharias. This author revealed to me that God, Truth and the Gospel message are relevant and can be presented with logical credibility. We don't have to check our brains at the door on our way into the church.

Deniseadb@aol.com
Max Lucado and T.D. Jakes have made an impact on my life and my family's life. I am so thankful to God for using these two Christian Pastors to feed the flock for God.

Frank Peretti, without a doubt. Particularly these books: Tilly, the story of a post-abortive woman; This Present Darkness; and Piercing the Darkness.

Where to start? Deb Raney and Brandilyn Collins strike at the heart in their writing and give of their hearts to writers. Both women share themselves in an extraordinary way.

I would have to say Rene Gutteridge, author of Troubled Waters, Boo and Boo Who. When you read her books you are transported to the place she is talking about. She brings you into the story with her real life characters. They become your friends and your enemies. She writes in a way that you can visualize the places and the people. I am always so amazed when I read one of her books. She's one of the only authors who I have read who has made me feel every emotion. I have even thrown one of her books across the room because one of her characters got to me. I read a lot of books due to my job of interviewing authors, and she is truly one of my all-time favorites.

papagrady@fellowshipinthespirit.com
Gayle Erwin, who has written a series of books including The Jesus Style, The Father Style, The Spirit Style and The Body Style. Every pastor and church leader needs to make The Jesus Style especially as a yearly must-read.

CandyM49@aol.com
Karen Kingsbury's A Time to Dance was especially close to my feelings at a time in my life.

Francine Rivers has never failed to inspire and educate me through her writing. She is awesome.

mnoelleT@aol.com
John MacArthur, and his books titled Hard to Believe and Ashamed of the Gospel.

muscros@aol.com
Grace Livingston Hill
Jeanette Oke
T.D. Jakes
