What are some of your favorite spiritual and/or secular holiday-themed books?

Jenn S.
I loved TWO FROM GALILEE by Marjorie Holmes, as it gave the Nativity story from Mary's perspective. It showed her both before and after, and gave you a 'taste' of what her home life was probably like. It really made the story more "real" for me.

Joy Hertzberg
A REDBIRD CHRISTMAS by Fannie Flagg

*****

Mary Higgins Clark's holiday mysteries.

A REDBIRD CHRISTMAS by Fannie Flagg. It is so good, poignant, and goodhearted, how can you go wrong!

I also enjoy THE CHRISTMAS BOX by Nicholas Evans. He always does a good job with his Christmas stories, but this is my favorite.

Topping it off is right to the source, read Matthew and Luke in the old testament!

Waymon Johnson
Looking for recorded music by Fred Frank

*****

Darby Lohrding
THE CHRISTMAS PROMISE, THE CHRISTMAS HOPE and THE ANGELS OF MORGAN HILL all by Donna VanLiere and THE CHRISTMAS JARS by Jason F Wright.

*****

Marge Ayers

A beautiful children's book, "A COLLECTION OF CHILDREN'S STORIES by Lois Lenski. I have had it for more than 40 years and bring it out each Christmas. I look forward to reading the stories and poems to my grandchildren as they get older.
