16. FaithfulReader.com: What are you working on now, and when can readers expect to see it?

Judy Baer: I've just wrapped up MILLION DOLLAR DILEMMA, which will be out in 2005. I'm currently working on a proposal for another book and have several other ideas hatching.

Tracey Bateman: LEAVE IT TO CLAIRE, the first book in my "Claire" series, will be released early in 2006.

When single mom and writer Claire Everett is dragged away from her computer and into the light of day to heal after carpal tunnel surgery, she discovers real life is harder than fiction. Scrambling to get her footing, she invents a six-steps-to-a-better-life program, determined to renovate everything around her. But can she fix her family and herself --- including her relationships with some pretty important people in her life? Or will she realize that sometimes the only way to truly grow is to let go of her own plans and listen to God's?

Kristin Billerbeck: I'm working on the final installment of Ashley Stockingdale's life: WITH THIS RING, I'M CONFUSED. Then, I'll be starting a new series about three friends called "The Spa Girls."

Lori Copeland: I'm working on my second Mom Lit, MOM'S NO SPIN ZONE. Tentative pub date is March 2006.

Penny Culliford: THEODORA'S BABY. It should come out in about nine months!

Sharon Dunn: I am in the final stages of the third "Ruby Taylor" mystery, which is called COW CRIMES AND THE MUSTANG MENACE. I had a lot of fun with this one. The insecurity Ruby is struggling with is feeling like she can't ever measure up to the Proverbs 31 woman because her domestic skills are limited to making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and she can't make attractive furniture out of coffee cans and old tennis shoes. Things are complicated by the fact that Ruby has a mother who is "like Betty Crocker in hyperdrive." COW CRIMES will be out sometime in 2005.

Robin Jones Gunn: Here's the lineup:
Available now is SISTERCHICKS IN SOMBREROS! complete with our first "Sisterchicks Cruise to Mexico" scheduled for April 2005. (See web site for info)

Available in January will be a "Women of Faith" novel titled GARDENIAS FOR BREAKFAST. This story is a mother/daughter life journey and came out of an experience I had when my daughter was 12 and the two of us drove to Louisiana to visit my 92-year-old grandma.

In April of 2005, look for SISTERCHICKS DOWN UNDER! followed by SISTERCHICKS IN GONDOLAS! and SISTERCHICKS IN PARIS! And yes, I have been living a writer's dream because I was given a travel budget by my wonderful publisher in order to properly research all these amazing locations!

Neta Jackson: I just finished the third "Yada Yada" novel titled THE YADA YADA PRAYER GROUP GETS REAL, which is coming out in April 2005. Also, my husband and I just collaborated on THE YADA YADA PRAYER JOURNAL, a sixty-day devotional journey through the three "Yada Yada" novels with relevant Scriptures, some sister-sharing from me to the reader about relevant topics, and room to journal yourself. That is also coming out in April 2005.

What's next? A fourth "Yada Yada" novel is percolating --- about spiritual warfare. Working title: THE YADA YADA PRAYER GROUP FIGHTS BACK.

Annie Jones: I just finished the first edits on my next book for Steeple Hill, MOM OVER MIAMI, and am working on the follow-up book to SADIE-IN-WAITING --- AND INDEPENDENT SADIE.

Allie Pleiter: Ooo, every writer's favorite question! I'm working on QUEEN ESTHER AND THE SECOND GRADERS OF DOOM, which will be out in February of 2006. It's a story about a new mom facing all the challenges of life's many demands --- her own baby, the volunteer position she suddenly finds herself sucked into (ooo, that's never happened to one of us, has it??), her exasperating parents, her husband's work stress, making ends meet that won't meet, and --- of course --- creating the perfect family holiday. All with what I hope are hilarious but poignant results. But, again, it's hard to be objective…

Laura Jensen Walker: I'm currently doing the rewrites on my second Chick Lit novel, DREAMING IN TECHNICOLOR (releasing August 2005), which continues the adventures of my heroine, movie-loving Phoebe Grant. My first, DREAMING IN BLACK & WHITE, releases March 2005.
